Join the Meal Train
We have begun using the website Meal Train to organize meals for individuals or families of Grace who are going through a stressful time—the birth of a new child, illness, or death.
If you would like to participate in this ministry, please create a Meal Train account at mealtrain.com. If you are not already on our mailing list, please also provide your email address to the main office. When a meal train has been set up you will receive an email notification with the link to a calendar for that particular family and any instructions.
If you take any photographs of or at a Grace Lutheran event, please email them to jarmstrong@growingwith grace.org. We are always in need of pictures to update our website, submit to the Independent and for general publicity.
2014 Altar Flowers
If you would like to have flowers placed on the altar for a special occasion or remembrance, please sign up in the altar flower book on the table in the narthex. Most 2014 dates are still available. Please remember to include your dedication when you sign-up. Flowers are $25. Payment can be made by placing your check (made payable to GLC and noted for altar flowers) in the offering plate.
Should we experience inclement weather, we will send out an email and update our website and voicemail. Your safety is our first priority and everyone has a different level of comfort when dealing with bad weather. If you feel uncomfortable venturing out, please remain home and safe.
Every 4th Thursday of the month from 10 am to 4 pm Pat McKinny volunteers at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home. She is there to hem, re-attach buttons and make other small alterations for the residents. If you are handy with a needle and thread and would like to help out, please contact Pat McKinney at 301-290-1870. Lunch is provided and FREE!
CALLING ALL FLOWER LOVERS

YARD WORK VOLUNTEERS!
WANTED BOX TOPS, PRINTER CARTRIDGES AND ALUMINUM CANS....CAN YOU HELP?
There are many many ways you can help GLC&S from the comfort of your own home. We collect the following items:
- Box Tops for Education & Campbells Soup labels - These items help us purchase a variety of classroom and PE items.
- Printer cartridges - When we turn in used printer cartridges we are able to earn money towards offce supplies.
- Aluminum cans - We have a volunteer who picks up the cans and takes them to the recycling center which, in turn, gives us money which is then deposited into our operating account. Consider separating out your cans from your other recyclables and drop the cans off at Grace. Our aluminum can drop is located inside our dumpster bin, behind the cardboard recycling bin. FYI...crushed cans earn more than non-crushed cans.
