The adult Sunday School Class recently completed a study of the Augsburg Confession and learned what the courageous Lutheran Church of 1530 confessed as biblical truth and true unity in Christian faith. It has never been withdrawn or changed!

Starting Sunday Dec, 12^th we will alternately be studying the Gospel of John and Revelation (Apocalypse). Both were authored by the apostle John, son of Zebedee, well known to the seven churches in Asia Minor. The Gospel of John is a good follow - on to the Augsburg Confession because much of our theology is found in it and the Apocalypse a great transition to the liturgy of the church. After completing these two books we plan to embark on a study of our Divine Liturgy.

Please consider joining us for this journey from confession of the faith through the Divine Liturgy. The class is taught jointly by Tim McNutt and Ed Huber. What should you expect? In the Gospel of John you will strengthen your belief that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you will have life in His name. In his Gospel, John depicts in masterly fashion how faith in CHRIST overcomes sin, death, and hell, and gives life, righteousness, and salvation. In the Revelation, you will rest assured that neither force nor lies, neither wisdom nor holiness, neither tribulation nor suffering shall suppress the Church, but it will gain the victory and conquer at the last. Revelation covers the New Testament time from the first coming through the second coming of Christ in purpose, liturgy, literary form, symbolism of numbers, and interpretation based upon all the tenants and fundamentals you learned in Sunday School as a child. It may become your favorite book of comfort and steadfastness, paving the way into a new heaven, and new Jerusalem with angelic hosts as the consummation of God's grace in the revelation of Jesus Christ.
