Grace Lutheran School exists to serve Jesus Christ by developing the whole person to influence the world for Him.

Grace Lutheran Church was established in 1962 and in 1974, Grace Lutheran School, at that time a preschool only, opened its doors. We are proud of our reputation for providing our students with a Christian education, enhanced with stimulating and challenging curricula, within a warm and encouraging learning environment.

GLS has a tradition of outstanding academics that comply with Maryland state standards. We are accredited by the National Lutheran Schools Association, Cognia and Middle States Accreditation. Our teachers are experienced classroom teachers with degrees and/or certifications with an overall average of 12 years experience. GLS seeks to encourage children to embark upon a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and challenges them to develop academically, socially, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually as a unique child of God. It is to that end that religion classes are taught at all grade levels as a regular part of the curriculum.

Grace is divided into three sections; preschool (pre-k2, pre-k3, pre-k4), elementary (k-5th), and middle school (6th - 8th) and operates on a trimester schedule.

Grace Lutheran School admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded to or made available to pupils at the school. Grace Lutheran School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national, and ethnic origin or sexual orientation in administration of their educational policies, athletics, and other school administered programs.
